Is it me, or does Drew look significantly heavier, between yesterday and today's show?

    Pretty Alright Show.

Two Records were set in Shopping Spree:
Largest amount the contestant needed to spend: $9500 ( Previous High: $8500 )
Biggest Prize Package ever offered in this Game: $10,742 ( 1st time in this game, Prize Package was over $10,000 in Value )

Is it me, or does Drew look significantly heavier, between yesterday and today's show?

Monday's show was taped last week, Sept. 11
Today's show was Taped August 22.
That's why he looks different today.

I wouldn't be surprised if Drew's dieting right now since he's been gaining weight back. Also, wasn't he wearing different glasses today? That made him look different, especially around his face.

I don't have much expectations anymore, but show 2 of the season should not feel like a mid-February budget show with a FPG lineup. That was a semi-kick in the nuts from the producers to me as a viewer today.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Two wins are better than none, and I'm glad that they happened in Secret "X" and Bargain Game.

I knew the trip in Push Over was $9,000; don't you hate when one more push could have won? And I also knew that the sauna was the right pick in Shopping Spree.

That was a nice Showcase bid by Scott; that FRATS was a little seriously underbid on.

Um, if I'm reading the recap correctly, it looks like he lost through one push too many.

Even yesterday's Show , which was taped at a later date , the wheel was doing the same.

How in the heck did Shasta screw up Shopping Spree when she was down to the sauna being the last prize needed?  Wow.

Painful loss on L7 with $4 going in.  If they legitimately thought it would be a 5, that could have easily been called 6 to cover that range.

This show definitely had a "mid season budget crunch" difficulty rating to it with the exception of Shopping Spree.  Lucky $even's loss was gut-wrenching, only way that setup could've been harder is if zeroes were in the car's price.  Of course that strategy would likely backfire and result in Lucky $even's retirement due to the controversy surrounding whether a zero would be played low or high.  Much like Hit Me and its "Soft 17" controversy, this flaw would result in L7's demise after years of making contestants feel like the Cleveland Browns immediately after "The Drive" with car prices like $2,2192). Now then, as for the wheel being tighter, I noticed that as well with multiple spins landing on the nickel space including one with the pointer pressing against the peg but not kicking over to the dollar.

I don’t think Hit Me’s rule about soft 17s was all that controversial seeing as Bob usually played it out to the contestants’ advantage. And it was hardly the catalyst for the game’s retirement.
