CSS Results for 09/22/2017 (Game 5)
« on: September 22, 2017, 12:11:45 PM »
Sometimes perfect shows have a way of knowing when to show up for CSS. Both those trips seemed innoucous enough, but it seems both were 5 digits or close to it. But few really mind thanks to the 4x points... only silverice got left out of the proceedings.

The big winner of the day is Nick (WP788), whose high bid on 2 as well as a DSW on 1 nets him a hard/soft of over 200k in cash, as well as the coveted 8x point multiplier. Great!
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Ow indeed.

Am I the only one who saw one person over and was hoping it was Wayoshi? Imagine stacking a host blows it on top of all of this, it would be amazing.

Also bid super carefully, would rather only get 300ish points than remotely risk an over. Too carefully, but it's still around 300 points for the day. That's nothing to sneeze at.

"Oh, I shouldn't blindly send in 25k for both bids. Not like it matters that much, despite being a Friday".

DANG YOU PERFECT SHOW! Seriously, well played Nick.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

I really can't blame anyone for being safe on bids once it gets to a guaranteed 4x multiplier. Like I had a terrible week, but this makes up for it and a bit extra on top. Basically a reset for me I'll gladly take
