For the record, under the old rule, being exactly $100 away would only win your own showcase (and that actually happened at least once or twice that I'm aware of). With the current setup, being exactly $250 away wins both showcases (and I think I've seen it done that way once).

It happened on January 12, 2005.

And the :dsw: was easily the biggest highlight on an otherwise dreadful show.
