L7 Question
« on: October 07, 2017, 09:16:02 PM »
I have a question about Lucky $even I have been wondering for a while, have they stopped using 1's in the price of cars(except for the second number, obviously), because according to tpirstats.com, the last time there was a one anywhere except the second number, was on December 15, 2014, so is it safe to assume that Mike has stopped using 1's now.

Well, at least they no longer use zeroes in the game either.

Zeroes haven't been used in the game for a while now, although as Scott showed us they do still have 0s ready to be used. It seems that Mike is not adverse to using 9s in the game at all but won't use 1s other than for the second digit.

They also use 1 as the first digit all the time.  It's mainly a 1 or a 2, just like the vast majority of the cars they offer, though there of course is the occasional 30k car in a regular car game, like the first (aired) car offered in Gridlock.

But, then WHY does Drew still say you can choose a number from 0 to 9 when we ALL know that zeroes are never used??

Because you can choose a 0, it's just going to be wrong.  It's the same principle as the "0" rule in 10 Chances.  Every price ends in 0 unless 0 isn't a choice then it's 5, but they're not going to tell you that outright because they want to reward people who actually pay attention to the show.

The actual retail price is...

Correct me if I'm wrong... but doesn't EVERY price ALWAYS end with a zero in "Ten Chances"???

These days that's pretty much the case though in years gone by they'd slip a 5 in there every now and then.  Way back in the early days of the game no such rule was in place but it became pretty clear it was too hard to win otherwise.

That's because outside the circle of diehard fans that end up on a fan site like this one, it is a little known fact.  You figure most people that watch the show probably don't watch it religiously and don't pick up on all the nuances let alone spend the time searching for fan sites.
