Nice Start to Dream Car Week.

Money Game offered the Most Expensive Car ever for that game. In fact , this is the 1st Car over $30,000 offered in Money Game ( Daytime )
We also had our 1st Wipeout in that Game since 2/16/2015.

We had the 1st Car ever offered for an IUFB.
We had our biggest Bailout in Gas Money ever.

Never thought I'd ever see a car as an IUFB; that was a cool surprise.

I'd also stop with $35,000 in Gas Money.

This show didn't stand out to me except for two things.

1. A car for an item up for bids. That surprised me, especially because I looked away a few moments and turned back to see it on stage. That's nice as a one off shock.
2. The Gas Money bailout, which I completely agree with. I'd have bailed too, let alone with a significant other urging me to bail out. It's a shame he didn't go for it, but I respect the decision 100%.

This was a cool show, solely due to car as a one bid (TPIR history being made, Bob.. lol). My only gripe is they seemed to telegraph all the high points before they happened. A little shock and awe would have been nice, rather than Drew winking and nodding than something big was coming.

Gotta say, I would have liked to seen a few "El cheapos" in Money Game, to help with the guessing. But I guess if you're playing for a $50,000 car, you can't make it too easy.

I didn’t like Money Game being a Dream Car game. I felt like it was impossible to win because nearly every number seemed like a correct choice. I wonder if they planned on playing 3 Strikes and instead replaced it with Money Game at the last moment. Hopefully this doesn’t happen again.

Also what did they put in the showcases that caused them to be jacked up to over $45,000; bars of gold?

So of course, the entire episode is pre-empted in San Francisco just because half of Napa and Sonoma Counties is burning down.

Not that the station aired any other part of the CBS daytime lineup, mind you...or that any of the other stations with news departments in San Francisco also didn't treat the story with saturation coverage...or that the story was overblown, considering that the Hilton hotel in Santa Rosa burned down, and I don't mean "a floor or two got scarred."

I hope none of the remaining Dream Car episodes include trips to either the Sonoma or Napa Wine Valleys.

It seems to me there was once talk -- this was more than 15 years ago, during the Bob Barker-era, perhaps -- when on some newsgroup, someone threw out the possibility of offering a car in a IUFB. I can't seem to pinpoint when that happened or what exactly the conversation was, but I seemed to recall it was a wild idea that would never fly.

I guess it worked. They'd have had to have found some way to top winning a car, and they did by playing Plinko. Despite the outcome (only winning $1700), that was the right route to go.

Well, I did this five months ago, and since the showcases were CRAZY expensive, I want to see how much car was up for grabs. I don’t need to worry about dollar spin cars this time, which is something. Never mind. There’s an Audi A3.

SC1: That Bora Bora… Looking back, I have only seen it been in showcases. However, going back to College Rivals I, the first showcase was that and a “2016 Chevrolet Spark LS (1.4 L engine, CVT, FWD)” , which a Google tells me the MSRP is $13,760. Subtracting from the $31,691 price, we get a… $17,931 trip? Did I math right?
Designer… Yep, this by itself is going to be my bane. I got $3,775. Check my work: https://i.imgur.com/x1PlzXG.jpg
…So is that like a 30k car? I get $28,899. Quick calculation gives me $24,965, so… Did I underprice that trip or the car?

SC2: Yeah, that Jamaica is hard to find. Closest I get is 6425K for $8,176, played for in Bonus Game. 7622K had the hottub DP WITH patio heaters, which made a solo appearance in 7434K as $698. Take that away from $12,188, and you get $11,490. Estimated cost of Malibu: $28,090. Reality check: $24,100

Post note: I realized that I calculated for 2018 values. Oh well. I’ll add a range.

The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."
