An add-on to the old turntable
« on: October 23, 2017, 06:41:54 PM »
I was flipping through some Price-related YouTube videos and came across the Million Dollar Spectacular that aired in February 2006. The first game played was Triple Play with Bob making his entrance from door #2. As he does his usual shtick of building up each of the car reveals, we can get a glimpse of this mysterious blue side piece that has been set-up next to the turntable.

Do we know for sure why this was done on this occasion? I cannot recall ever seeing it during the regular daytime playings of Triple Play. My guess is this was done to hide the producers' table but, if so, why would that suddenly be a concern when it had never been done before?

Huh...I'd thought I'd noted in the timeline when that thing was introduced, but apparently, I didn't.  That's gonna bother me.

Regardless, it was used for several years at the end of the Barker era any time they played Triple Play or On the Spot.
