Heatter (and Quigley) didn't produce Wacky Races. They were to have produced a live game segment where kids predicted the outcome of each of the races for prizes. CBS nixed the game segment but Hanna-Barbera gave Heatter-Quigley an on-screen credit anyway. It's widely believed that Heatter-Quigley still owned a stake in the characters.

Nonetheless, quite a loss in the game show world.
