I would've gone minus on Do the Math.

To go from zero right on the first try to a win in Line em Up was truly the highlight of the show.

The second SP in Shell Game was a little tricky, but I knew that the fourth one had to be lower.

You just gotta love those shows that have dollars spun in both SCSD's

This was definitely one of the better days in terms of just the Showcase Showdowns ($1,000 win in both, including one with a $10,000 bonus spin win).  Of course, it wasn't the best ever (last day of premiere week, anyone?)

What was Julie thinking?! She picked the first two numbers in Money Game on her first attempt, and then she picks 19 and 20! No excuse for that!

El cheapo?
There wasn't an El Cheapo on the board, by the looks of it.

This show took a while to get off the ground, but once it did, it never dipped back down.  Between two dollars on the Big Wheel, Shell Game showing up (to say nothing of the guy playing it), and the craziest Line em Up I've ever seen, there was no shortage of excitement once Act 3 started.

Of course, before any of that could happen, we had to get through Money Game.  What looked to be a promising start nosedived pretty quickly with Julia picking both of the remaining choices for the first two numbers and getting advice from someone in the audience who she clearly shouldn't have been.  That whole thing was painful to watch.

I did not know it was possible to be as confused about Line em Up as Richard was today.  He obviously had no idea what he was supposed to be doing on his second turn, and I feel pretty safe saying he doesn't know how he won, either.  He had Drew cracking up so badly while tossing to the midbreak that I'm surprised he didn't wind up on the floor.

And how about Luis?  You have to pull for a guy whose reaction to seeing Shell Game is to shout, "I LOVE SHELL GAME!"  He seemed really crazy, but in a good way -- none of his enthusiasm looked forced.
"Every game is somebody's favorite." -- Wise words from Roger Dobkowitz.

I was trying to think of a way to describe the Line Em Up playing and you described it perfectly Steve. It was a strange playing to say the least.

Shell Game was great too, Luis clearly watches the show and he just got some tough choices on the SPs.

I really thought the pudding was going to be the other $2.99 product in Pick a Pair.

So! I was lucky enough to be in the audience for this show when I taped last July.  Top to bottom a great experience! "Why do you have an "X" on your tag?" was a common question I had to answer when I was in line (and I was happy to explain!).  Everyone was psyched to be there in line.

Here's pretty much what I can remember...
*Richard didn't hear his name or see the cue card... it took someone standing on stage to point at him and say "YOU!" before he realized that he had been called! Having been there I very much understand!
*Quick stop down during Money Game for a reason I can't remember.
*I'm the guy in the gray going nuts when the player gets called before the third IUFB.  If memory serves she had been there numerous times.
*I can't believe I was caught on national television barking like a dog...
*That first showcase showdown was insane! I've been in the presence of a dollar before but never a bonus spin win!
*Richard took a really long time to get things going in Line 'Em Up... I'm sure that they had to edit down a lot including his need to make that binary choice on the lantern.
*And another bonus spin in the second SD! Wow!
*My friend clapped so much she registered 18,000 steps on her FitBit!
*At the end of the show - having already lost my voice a few days before to a cold and exhausting of coaching sport stacking at the Junior Olympics - I played my card... I held up a Weakest Link mousepad and pointed at George and mouthed "CAN YOU SIGN THIS?" and he said "Sure, just get over here quickly!".  He was so kind to do that and I was happy to tell him that I went to Curacao for a scuba diving holiday this January on the show's dime.

In any case, as I said, a great day and such a great taping!
Ryan :)
