Finally another Hot Seat win!

They seriously should've played Golden Road though

Not a bad show, but why no clangs and whoops for the $20,000 win in Hot Seat? They already do that in Time is Money, so I'm a little miffed that it was not done today.

I forgive John for the Danger Price wipeout because there were no drones when he fought a half-century ago.

Both car wins were very awesome, especially when the odds were clearly stacked against them.

Good Show Today.
Good wins in Lucky 7 ( Where all 5's would of won it ) and Hot Seat ( Which had a easy setup if you knew your stuff )

As other people in chat noticed today , there's a new Change as to how the Number in PaN is revealed.
Now instead of Drew pulling the number up , he pressed something behind it and the number came up itself.
Since this Episode was Taped October 23 , I don't know if this change was made as of this show, or it was changed on a show that hasn't aired yet.

Not really surprised about that second one; I think the first time that Pay the Rent was set up so that you could win if you placed all of the items in price order was done on an Armed Forces show.

I thought I heard some sort of sound effect. Sounded like something sizzling, which makes sense, given the theme of the game.

I don't like that Drew doesn't pull the number up on Pick a Number anymore. It was the one sort of interesting aspect of the game, and now the reveal was just boring.

Pretty easy Lucky $even except I thought the 2nd digit would be a bit higher.

Danger Price was fairly easy, the prizes besides the drone were definitely going to be more than $1,078.

Very easy Hot Seat. The only item that was a bit of a toss-up was the boots. It was weird though that Drew seemed to forget which button was which at the beginning of the game. Besides the $5 fan that was used in Car Pong during LMaD Mash Up Week last season, when was the last time a small prize below $10 was used in a game?

The 1st time when putting the Grocery Items in Price Order: From Lowest to Highest , was a Correct Solution: 3/27/2013
The show you talking about was a 4th of July Show ( 7/4/2014 , which was also a Perfect Show )

It was the same sound effect that you hear at the beginning of the game! I was happy to see Hot Seat won again though! Now I just hope that Golden Road is played next week since it's the only game that is yet to be played this season!

Having a rare day off yesterday I actually got to watch and enjoy this episode, and for once the local yokel Philadelphia news didn't interrupt either!

Felt badly for John losing Danger Price.  I get the feeling he was one of the oldest, if not the oldest veteran in the audience that day.

Kudos to "Price" for doing this event every year!

Was so glad to see three vehicles awarded yesterday, one in Lucky Seven, one with Gridlock and one in the Showcase.

I really thought the guy was going to lose Hot Seat at the end.  I would have bailed with the $10,000.  I'm glad he didn't since it yielded a $20,000 win.  This is one of the finest new games created in the Drew era, with Rat Race being another super fun and exciting game!

I would have kept the prices as they were in Switch? too and would have lost.

Overall, 4 out of 6 wins including both car games plus $1,000 during a Showcase Showdown.

The only thing I feel badly about is it seems more and more episodes feature either a small prize game or a grocery item game but not one of each during either half of the show.  I recognize that's in large part due to time constraints :-\  Still, to me an episode feels incomplete unless both a SP and a grocery item game are played in any given episode.

With a game like Hot Seat that potentially takes a while to complete, a perfect grocery item game to play that would be quick would be Penny Ante.  This would be a great reason to bring it back, this way there's a better chance of featuring both a SP and grocery item game each show.

The only time I don't mind so much when three non-car non-SP non-Grocery games are played is when one car game features SP or GR items, thus necessitating 3 "quicky" games as I call them.  Today, the first game for the trip could have perhaps used Vend-O-Price instead of the uninspiring Pick A Number...

An interesting thing came up today in Hot Seat -- I knew for certain that Jose had one of the items right, and it happened to be the one they went to last.  If you're actually playing the game and find yourself in that situation, it's essentially an auto-win.  It's not guaranteed to happen for any given contestant no matter how well they play, but it's kind of a neat scenario if it does.

Speaking of Hot Seat, I wonder if this is the first time the label for a grocery item or small prize has been the name of another pricing game.

I thought I heard some sort of sound effect. Sounded like something sizzling, which makes sense, given the theme of the game.

Actually, I think you were hearing the second half of the game's intro cue.  Does anyone remember if they did that last season?

5:14 Yes, they did. And I remember people arguing about it sounding weird.

Why is it that L7 can always be won on specials with 5 spam? Just a stray comment.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."
