It still amazes me after all this time how many people fall for the "season #" red herring in Money Game.

Lucky Seven was clearly setup for a Lost.
Nice Playing in Now or Then. Carl was trying to cover all his bases and get 2 chances to win.

I think it was clever that they paired up trips to Washington State and Washington, DC in Do the Math.

Pick-a-Number was somewhat evil, with the lowest number being right instead of the highest one.

The problem is, they do make it the right answer once (or so) a season, so even those who know that might hesitate not to pick it, not wanting to be the one that loses when that answer is right.

You Right ,  2/9/17 was the last time the "year" number was the back of the car. That was also the last Exacta to happened in this game.

I never believed the patio package in Pick-a-Number would be $13K+, I thought it was $10K+

My guess for the Kia in Money game was $17,760, but it turned out not to be. Tough draw for Haley.

My bid for the Bali showcase was $24,500. I guess I didn't account for that this was for three guests, instead of one.
My bid for the Honda showcase was $30,000. I was over by $2,144.

So the season# is right once out of how many hundreds of times they play the game that the season# is wrong? I'll take those odds. I honestly think it's just due to most people not paying attention.

That was a tough break in Lucky 7. The contestant played it as well as he could in this era rather than sticking to the middle numbers. It just didn't work out for him, which is a real shame.

Thanks for the kind words. Been a long-time lurker here for many, many years - and this was a big check on my bucket list. I'd seen the Fiesta anywhere between $16-$19K, but it is implausibly loud in that studio. You cannot hear George at all, and even if you could, you're having an out-of-body experience anyway. A producer holds up a cue card saying "Ford Fiesta SE," and that's about what you have to go by. I was definitely straying away from the middle 4-5-6s. When $19k came up, I was sure it had to be $19,2xx, $19,3xx at best. I was shocked at $19,7xx - and the rest, well, I took a shot. You can sort of hear me tell Drew, "I never would've picked 9, anyway" at the end. Regardless, he (and the staff) couldn't be nicer or classier. An incredible experience I'll proudly remember fondly forever.

Holy man...I recognize that name from ATGS.  You really have been around for ages -- longer than I have, I think.

Congratulations, dude!
