3 Strikes was a MAJOR heartbreaker.  Lori was one number away from winning and she had only two chips left, the 3 and the strike.

So close.

I was scrolling through the post when I saw the recap of 3 strikes. I slowly went through the post only to have my heart shattered when she pulled that final strike on Pick #12. Absolutely devastating.

This month has been brutal on generating significant winnings. Today certainly added to that gut punch, but once again showed why 3X is one of, if not the, best games (even surrounded by a kooky lineup).
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Both car games suffered heartbreaking losses; aside from the last strike drawn with only one number left, Switcheroo was also a major letdown, because Robert had the car right the first time.

3 Strikes fourth was definitely a surprise. Almost an incredible win after a slow start, too bad she pulled the 3rd strike instead of the last number. Switcheroo was painful too of course.

Very easy One Wrong Price, there was no way $1,667 was correct for the fridge.

What we determined in chat was that this is the likely the first time that five-digit 3 Strikes was played fourth. The game was played fourth multiple times in the '70s and early '80s with the four-digit format, including the playing that left4thehouse mentioned.

Scorpz's records go back to Season 16, and this is the first time the game was played fourth within that time frame. Therefore, unless 3 Strikes + was played on an episode that we don't have the slotting in place for in between 1983-87 (which is possible, but not likely), then we did witness a historic moment on this episode.
