Another episode, another heartbreaker in 1/2 Off.
Oh wait, two heartbreakers thanks to Triple Play.

Very easy set-ups in 1/2 Off. Too bad she got tripped up by the 2nd pair, although of course there's no guarantee she would've won the $10,000 with just 2 boxes.

Triple Play 3rd was unexpected. It's nice that they finally set it up to at least go past car #1. The 2nd car was easy as well, but the third one was a toss-up between the first and second choices.

I was thinking either 31 or 58 for the last two numbers in Money Game.

What was heartbreaking about the 1/2 Off loss?

I would have won Money Game with picks to spare, but would have lost 1 Right Price.

Another contestant and audience tripped up by the "looks more expensive than it actually is" Honda HR-V LX. :(  Did you notice the reactions as Drew revealed the last "NO"?

After the Golden Road win, I was hoping that Triple Play would follow suit; unfortunately, it was not to be, and I knew that the first price on the HR-V was the right one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't $5 the lowest amount seen in 1/2 Off? And obviously, it was the 1/2-off price on what is the least expensive SP in the game.

1 Right Price was a total crapshoot; I had a feeling that the scooter was the right choice.

The last playing of 1/2 off had the Lumina Hair Remover at $5 to start , so it's a tie of lowest price ever used to start.

Just saw this episode post-Christmas.  What's sad about the Triple Play loss is not so much the loss itself but the obvious intentions of the show to trick the contestant. You could read it on Drew's face.   $19K (first price) would never be a selection that the contestant would ever guess for that car.  The show always builds it up when they have an SUV and crowd goes wild thinking it's $25K or $30K only to find out it's $20K, $21k, etc.  Sad that this is what they do to force losses.

At least they didn't make the 1st car difficult to get past, which they did the last time it was played. You have a point it didn't have to be set up the way it did, but at least they made it easy to get to the SUV.

which they did the last time it was played.
A Beamer should not be grossly underpriced the way it was that playing. Sometimes contestants are just going to fail no matter how easy you make it.
S46... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...
