  • One of the great multitaskers on G-R.net!
Here we go with another PCH Week...

One Away was somewhat evil with those double numbers at the end, and changing the wrong 7 cost Loring in the end.

At least Pathfinder wasn't a total wipeout.

Congrats to Alexandria for netting the first $20,000 bonus in Pick-a-Number!

Just one small error. It should be epic silence after three honks.

OA: Ouch.

Grand: The ice cream shouldn't have been that expensive. Good call by the contestant for $10K.

Side: Let's have the second number to be a "0" or "5" just to make them lose it!
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

One Away: I thought Loring had it on the second try. Yep that was really tough.

Grand Game: Great win Randall!!!  I lost this one: I said the ice cream.  I was stunned Randall picked the Finish Rinse Aid.  That setup had TRAP written all over it.

I felt Pick a Number and Most Expensive were the only easy setups.

A question: How many of you guys who watched the Grand Game segment picked the ice cream?

All of the games in the first half of this episode were played at the Giant Price Tag.  Especially in this era, when they generally seem to stage the first two acts to complement one another, that's really weird.

  • I love it when people get lit up.
This was likely done so the PCH vehicle could stay in one door without having to move, until it was awarded.

It's 2018, can we stop with the $15K and $16K cars? It makes the show look especially cheap when the price is displayed visually with large numbers like in Pathfinder. They give away $16K trips but $15K cars???  Save those cars for Let 'em Roll and when non-car games (like Grocery Game) are played for cars.  Then it's just a voiceover and not integral to the playing of the game.
