This was a bizarre lineup, especially how it's slotted, but I would nominate it as a season best. Great selection of games, creative slotting, sometimes it just works.

It's very unfortunate that it couldn't translate to great game results. 1/2 Off, Danger Price, and Grocery Game are all in big slumps (remember that PCH came later) and combine that with some wipeouts and poor choices and it leaves a bummer of a show.

That was a painful loss in Grocery Game.  I mean that playing is a TPIR version of "C'mon Man!"

The price of coffee you can do in your head, then say buy JUST TWO.  Any more than that and you're asking for trouble.  In this case she chose FOUR.  UGHHHHHH!!!!

Thank you Doug Quick for 32 years of service to the Longest Running Game Show in Television History.  Be blessed, friend.

Tough loss in Dice Game , once she roll that two 2nd , i was worried that it was going to be lower and i was right.
The paint job they game to 1/2 off didn't happen yet ( due to the tape date ) , could be one of the last times we will see the old paint job for it.

I know how you feel. There are five products in the game. Why apparently go for the win with only one?

Drew showed some genuine emotion when speaking about Doug Quick's departure. All the best to Doug.

Man 2 wipeouts and a painful Dice Game loss; what disappointments.  In Grocery Game 3 coffees would've resulted in a win with only 1 item for a total of $20.97.  At least 2 for the price of 1 getting its 1st win of the season prevented a skunking.

Danger Price probably should've been won. The dishwasher and shuffleboard table were definitely less than $2,080, and the TV was definitely more, so the shoes were the most logical prize to avoid.

Bad choice on Grocery Game going with 4 coffees. I would've started with 2.

Well at least we get to see 1/2 Off with the original colors at least one more time...

Thanks Doug for all your hard work on the show and enjoy your retirement!

Well, the only thing worse than that is to have those wipeouts occur in back-to-back games. Has this ever happened before, and if so, when was the last time?

Farewell to Doug Quick after 32 wonderful years of working behind the scenes; he will most definitely be missed.

This. There's a lot of people that complain and moan about the show's current regime, but to me, this shows that Drew really does care, not just about the show but the people involved.

I'll raise my virtual glass to Doug Quick. Always good-natured, full of stories, and he ran the area behind the doors like a pro. Every now and then, I'll be watching the credits of a show on Buzzr and have the reaction, "Doug stage managed that show, too?" He was seemingly everywhere on the game shows that taped at Television City.

When TPIR made that second-screen video a few years back, I was happy to see Doug get a camera that he could play to backstage. He's a natural-born ham.

Congratulations to Doug on a well-deserved retirement!

Happy retirement, Doug. A lot of us remember his name at the end of Press Your Luck as that show's stage manager.
