Penny Ante, even with the sound effect used when Bob pushed the contestant's choice.

I wish that sound was still used in Vend-O-Price when Drew revealed the totals. I thought that was a nice tribute to Penny Ante.

Make Your Move-- where after the contestant sets the choices, the prices flash all colors with all-color expanding neon bars on top if correct; else, the price lights dim, and then the correct answers light up as Drew asks what they were (that's just how I recall it going; I may be incorrect).

I've always had a fondness for the Five Price Tags successful reveal of the exploding star-studded WIN! tag.

May I suggest the sound of a car crashing?
A car crash was the sound effect when a contestant opted for a "longshot" on the short-lived Tom Kennedy hosted game show, "Whew!"  It would fit in perfect as an alternative to the silence when a contestant in One Away has no more numbers right.

I miss that sound effect.  I remember one Penny Ante playing long before its retirement (back around 1990) when at least two of the doors revealing the YES/NO got stuck after Bob pushed the button.  He got so frustrated with the game malfunctioning that he actually imitated the sound effect with his mouth.  Still makes me laugh now.

Now that I think about it though, maybe a car crash wouldn't be the best alternative for it.  I'd have to think of another one.

Perhaps brakes squealing or a police siren would then work better?

One away isn’t broken, why “fix” it?
Quote from: Bill Todman
"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

They (and I) were just talking about an alternative to silence for if the contestant does NOT have at least X numbers right

Personally I think the brakes would work better, but at the same time Gridlock already has that, and if we're talking about giving unique sound effects to One Away, brakes would be out of the question.

Perhaps though it could just be a simple buzz like what they use for most of the games.

Is it partially because in Stack, the TITLE is flipping?

Yes.
