Is it me, or was there was a different sound effect for the clock ticking by in Clock Game? Also, the ding didn't go off with Matt's first bids on the hammock or audio player. Weird.
Also, that playing of Pass the Buck was an example of what Barker might have called "Rare bad luck."

When was the last time that all five shows in the same week ended with an overbid in the Showcase? It feels like Groundhog Day (the Bill Murray movie) at the Bob Barker Studio all of a sudden!

Shame that Pass the Buck was lost in the worst possible way, and Clock Game was a trainwreck as well.

And the moral, kiddies, to Clock Game: Don't waste time bidding down in one-dollar increments unless you've got it pinned down within $5 (or at worst $10).

Had he have gone, after the $550 bid, for instance $540, $530, $520, $510, and even then $505, $504 ... a win still might not have been a sure thing, but he sure would have had a much better chance at honing in on the second prize's price and we'd have a winner.

As for Pass the Buck, dame fortune just didn't shine. Way it goes sometimes. FWIW, it was a logical choice for the item that turned out he was incorrect on.

I do hate it when One Away contestants have four numbers right ... that tends to be the most difficult scenario to win, as I see it. To me, it becomes a guessing game, especially when you know you have the second number right and, since zero is rarely the last number in ARPs in this game (unlike Ten Chances, Temptation, etc.), you often find yourself with a 1-in-3 proposition. Fortunately, good luck smiled down on the contestant -- the second number was most likely wrong ... and it was a good change.

Buck is still one of my favorite games. At least the contestant got more than one pick. Just really bad luck this episode.
