I'd love to see N...oT get something like this: https://goo.gl/images/9h1jup
I would guarantee they would get a letter from the Trivial Pursuit folks asking for color changes.
They can be close at the top, too.

The shape of the current board didn't seem to bother them...

The actual retail price is...

Also consider that the board was introduced in 1980 when the game was, whereas Trivial Pursuit was first produced in 1981.

Reminds me more of the NBC logo.

A quick glance at Wikipedia says they started developing the game in 1979 so they might just have gotten that game piece shape from somewhere... (Probably not.) Plagiarism confirmed.  (Not really.)

Yeah, IMO, a six-pointed asterisk would look even less like a Trivial Pursuit board than the current design, colors or not. But we'll let the lawyers figure that out out.

(Or not, cause they can't legally use our stuff, but never mind that, I still love the look of it.)

(What I'm trying to say, silverice878, is that you should move to LA, become an employee at the show, and then turn your design over to their art department. 'Cause it's that good.)

Plagiarism confirmed.

You kid, but it wouldn't be the first time the creators of Trivial Pursuit got caught ripping somebody off:

There was another instance involving a question about the TV series "Columbo". Had to do with his first name.

Yep, that's the same guy. A freelance trivia writer named Fred Worth published some trivia encyclopedias that the creators of Trivial Pursuit used as "reference material".

One of the questions in the game was "What was Columbo's first name?" According to the Trivial Pursuit card, the answer was "Philip". What they didn't know was that Worth threw in a few "ringer" facts in his encyclopedia as a copyright trap specifically to catch plagiarists; "Philip Columbo" was one of them.

Turns out that 1/3 of the questions in the first edition of the game were copied wholesale, often word-for-word from Worth's encyclopedia. Worth sued, but lost--the courts ruled you can't simply copyright "facts", no matter how much work you put into researching them.

I watched Friday's show when the new Bullseye set was introduced and it looks very spiffy and splendid. It was about time for an update on this game.

I was fine with the old prop, but I suppose everything has to be updated to keep up with technology at some point.

God forbid if Double Prices ends up getting some huge tech makeover though.

Considering it already got a makeover earlier this year, it should be safe for a while.

The best part, though, is the arrows that are now placed directly on the board, taking Drew's "arrows in your quiver" spiel quite literally.
