Starcrossed Comeback?

I just recently saw a video about the last playing of Clearance Sale featuring the now-retired Starcrossed cue. Why did the cue made a comeback?

I think the more appropriate question would be, when did the show's staff begin to phase out the 1972, 1974, 1976 and 1983 music packages?
