Today felt like it had more than its share of tough luck. Spelling Bee was unfortunate - I think she made the right plays with what she had, especially once she revealed the G. Likewise, Now or Then was a tough loss but not an unfair one. This felt like it could've been a 3-4 win show easy, but the chips didn't fall right for it.

Now this is a game lineup , 4 turntable games ( Including all 3 in the 2nd half ) , 3 grocery games ,  and Master Key / Spelling Bee on the same show.

Despite the losses, I actually enjoyed the concept of an all-cash show.

Besides the all-Plinko show in 2013 this has to be the strangest line-up in the history of the show. It was pretty interesting that every game offered cash, but it was also overkill. Not every game had to offer cash and it was really odd to have no other types of prizes offered at all in the pricing games. Safe Crackers would've definitely fit in to play just to have at least one game that offered a different prize, or could've had Clock Game in with whatever cash amount as the bonus.

Tough break in Spelling Bee. I don't think many would've guessed a high enough price to win the hair dryer. I thought she could've had the win after getting a G card but unfortunately no I.

I was pretty sure the hot dogs were the third item to pick along with the detergent and coffee in Hi Lo, but I understood picking the jam.

Now or Then and Vend-O-Price for back-to-back GP games. Both could've been won, especially Vend-O-Price with the high amount of jelly beans compared to the pretzels and Tang.

Fits the theme of my birthday, since by far my favorite gift is cash. Master Key sort of reminded me of Wheel of Fortune when you never know how much is in it, until you find out that the cheapest amount seemingly appears the most. At least it wasn't winless thanks to 1/2 Off. Well, we still have tomorrow for that big win, and perhaps the first time that only one car has been offered total since the '80s when a cash game would be played in lieu of a car and no showcases would offer one that episode, as 2013's all-Plinko offered a car along with another in that show's Showcase.

To the recapper, it would help to see what the third and fourth cards were since I can't watch at work and it would have been more heartbreaking if there were multiple G's than B's.

Of course, with an all-cash lineup means an all-fee game lineup. I'm not sure if this has ever happened besides all-Plinko. In addition to Clock Game and Safe Crackers, 2 for the Price of 1 also could work as cash games with the total prize package unannounced and having a different prize.

For tomorrow, $100,000 Hot Seat? $500,000 Pay The Rent? Stay tuned...

Hot Seat doesn't have as much buzz because Gridlock! is the newest game, so I doubt it. Pay the Rent... ugh... If someone increases PtR's cash prize, someone is getting an earful.
The big money game for tomorrow has been spoiled, but either way, someone is getting an earful tomorrow, because the only other good fee game left for big money is Shell, and knowing the big money game, it probably won't happen.
They couldn't have just gone with the Rat Race Big Money Week setup for Master Key? Alright then...

"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

I actually went to my coder after the show to ask about changing it up because I know it's a pest.

I'm confused by the couple of replies implying that this is the first time a lineup like this has never happened before. The show did the same thing for Big Money Week last year, too.

I am curious as to how rushed/edited the episode felt. On paper, this lineup is super long, but on the other hand, at least a minute was probably saved by simply saying "$xx,000 in cash!" as opposed to a full prize plug.

The all cash show was *meh* okay...
But,the thing that drives me crazy is when Drew doesn't use the winning key or blank key to show the contestant and the audiance in studio and at home (tv-online) that the keys only unlocked that prize or nothing at all unless it has to do with (The Perfect Bid,Stu's Show last night,on YouTube now)

This was an absolute disaster from a results standpoint. With Half toss-up won, this could have easily been a perfect show. Should have been at least 4/6 IMO with these setups. While bad luck is bad luck, the GP games were all played really poorly.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Forgot about that episode. That lineup might've been even weirder than today's with two cash games in the same half. At least when they do the all car shows on Dream Car Week and other car related theme shows there's a little more variety with offering prizes in addition to cars.

Very well said!

Worth noting the only full win this show was the actual true cash game. Price Gods are trying to tell Mikey something, but he won't ever listen...
