Fourth number: 1 or 3? Steps to 3, is right

WIN!

Who needs those stinking SPs anyway? Also, this playing lacks the clangs and eroo's that we know and love, but soon they will be added to the game.

Third Calldown: Pauline

IUFB3: 2 Color TV's
Pauline: $450
Leonora: $500
Timothy: $550

John: $1175
Pauline: $899
Leonora: $800*
Timothy: $900
ARP: $829

ARP of Desk: $2,499, Difference--$800

Bob will later refer to this game as the Bargain Game, which is the official name but has only been used on-air since 2012, near the end of Drew Carey's fifth season as host.

Third purchase: 1 Dog Biscuits x $1.09 = $1.09 (TOTAL: $3.86)
Fourth purchase: 2 Salsa x 65¢ = $1.30 (TOTAL: $5.16)
Fifth purchase: 2 Chicken Broth x 44¢ = 88¢ (TOTAL: $6.04)

LOSS

This is probably the earliest instance of Grocery Game using the now-standard foghorn for losses (instead of the main buzzer that was in use at the time), as well as one of the last to end in a loss of being under $6.75 after five purchases. I have yet to see someone lose by being under $20 after purchasing all five GPs.

SCSD2
Lisa: .45+.25=.70
Pauline: .85
Leonora: .80+.95=OVER

Pauline is going to the Showcase! Because Lisa steps on Bob's foot on her first spin and the camera focuses on him complaining about the resulting pain, it does not get the split-screen.

SHOWCASES
Top Winner: Ada
Runner-Up: Pauline

SHOWCASE 1
Children's Bunk Bed, Bedroom Group, 6-wheel ATV
Ada passes to Pauline, who bids $9,500

I forgot to mention that Timothy ended up in the FFBC that day.
