Episode with parallel online "behind the scenes" broadcast?
« on: March 11, 2018, 10:19:27 PM »
If memory serves me right, there was a first-run episode that had a "behind the scenes" simulcast, if that's the right word I can use in this context, that was broadcast online at the same time as the actual episode was shown on CBS.

Does anyone know what the airdate of that episode was?  And is either or both parts (the episode and the "simulcast") available online?
Fun fact: Evelyn Wong, the 5th person to be called on the first show (9/4/72), was actually the very first contestant to directly be called to come on down!  The original first four (Sandy Flornor, Paul Levine, Connie Donnel, Myra Carter) were individually told to stand up, and then, as a group, were invited to come on down.

Aired June 4th, 2014 as part of their Socially Awesome week. It used to be on youtube but they since took it down.

Here's the video, it's blocked in the US. Although, I use a VPN and can watch it just fine.

Uggg, why would they block it?  That was the coolest Price is Right Behind the Scenes thing I ever saw.  It gave a really good insight into the making of the show, and I learned a lot.  I wish CBS All Access would post it.  It was only on for a few weeks and then I never saw it again.

It's too bad they blocked it.  I remember watching it and being very fascinated by it.  I can't recall the line-up of games, but I do distinctly remember Card Game was one of the games played during that episode.  I also remember the players being given instructions by one of the production staff prior to the Showcase Showdown.

Doesn't work.  I get as far as the part where my computer asks me where I want to save it, but when I click to save I get a message, "Failed - Forbidden."

How can I enjoy something I can't see?  Moan, moan, moan, gripe gripe gripe, etc.

 8-O

The above was just a little verbal misbehavior on my part, not intended to be taken seriously.  In reality, your latest recommendation worked and I finally got to see the episode for the first time since its original broadcast.

Thank you, djsquare.   :-)

Most (I assume) of the YouTube video downloader sites are hosted overseas (legal issues and so forth here in the U.S.), so plugging in a YT link that’s valid in those countries to one of the downloader sites will work and allow you to download the video file, which can then be re-uploaded to YouTube, as was the case here.
Pardon my language, but I do believe we all need to calm the f*** down.
