Yankees fans after being clobbered 14-1 by the Red Sox

I know its early in the season but a lot of fans are throwing in the towel

On the Long Island side, the Mets are off to their best start in franchise history at 9-1.

Two games having bench-clearing brawls in one day is a prime example of why division rivals shouldn't be playing each other 19 times a season.

On the bright side the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry is fierce again!

I am so sick of Red Sox and Yankees. The media forgets there are other teams in other parts of the country!

As a Jays fan, I know exactly where you're coming from.

The Braves put on s textbook example of a meltdown, blowing a 10-2 lead to the Cubs and losing, 14-10. The bullpen couldnít find the strike zone if they were six inches away from the plate.

The Blue Jays and the Indians will make up their lost games in a double-dip on May 3, both yesterday's and today's games were postponed due to bad weather conditions.  The Jays won Friday's game 8-4 after being down 4-1

A savage weekend for local sports teams this weekend here, with both the Nationals and Orioles losing three straight, along with the Caps dropping the first two games and the Wizards the opening game of their playoff series. The O's best pitcher, despite a sub-2 ERA, is still winless, thanks to one of the worst offenses in the league. CBS Sports dropped the Nationals eight spots on their latest power rankings, with many wondering that this could turn out to be like the 1998 Orioles who were coming off of a pair of brilliant seasons, yet didn't mess around much in the offseason.

The Yankees had back-to-back wins against the Blue Jays in the Bronx this weekend, giving them the series.

Braves pitcher Julio Teheran had a no-no broken up in the seventh inning in the teamís 11-0 series sweep win vs. the Mets. Atlanta maintains a 1-1/2 game lead in the NL East. Itís still early in the season and I donít anticipate the Braves staying on top for long, but right now theyíre fun to watch.

Bumping this to strike up conversation about the postseason after two Game 163s to decide division winners.

Your playoff teams:

American League:
1. Boston (East Winner)
2. Houston (West Winner)
3. Cleveland (West Winner)
4. NY Yankees (Wild Card Host)
5. Oakland (Wild Card Visitor)

National League
1. Milwaukee (Central Winner)
2. LA Dodgers (West Winner)
3. Atlanta (East Winner)
4. Chicago Cubs (Wild Card Host)
5. Rockies (Wild Card Visitor)

My Wild Card picks: Oakland and the Cubs.

PatrickRox80, you said that both Cleveland and Houston won the AL West which is NOT true. I believe that Cleveland won the AL Central and Houston won the AL West.

Yes, Cleveland won Central, not West.
