Two thoughts
- that 9 absolutely killed Lucky Seven
- YAY! It might’ve been a partial win, but Time is Money finally didn’t have a $0 win.

I attended this taping, very little as far as notes go:

-I was surprised to see that Side By Side was just sitting out on stage before the contestants even had the chance to bid. I made mention to this a while back, being the first pricing game It would be easy to just throw your bid knowing that the game would only offer a trip or smaller prize at best.

-Time is Money was lowered from the rafters during a commercial break, and was fully reflected on the home base monitors. Not sure if contestants row could see, but here was another case of being able to see what game was next.

-Only a couple prize presentation reshoots.

-From being outside in line to the end of taping was about 4.5 hours. Felt much shorter than the first time I attended one a few years back.

-I noticed that the blue turntable marks were back and thought I was seeing things.

-I was really rooting for Menessah to win, her and her family were sitting directly next to me.

Overall, a very fun, enjoyable time. Drew and George are awesome!

Anytime Bonus Game is won is a great part of the show. In fact, it was the highlight of today's episode, with it being the only full win. And while $4,439 isn't a great cash prize, at least Cameron had something won in Time is Money.

This is the whole reason why whenever Time is Money showed up, I generally FFed through the whole segment-- because the result would inevitably be the "no 20, then no money at all" routine (meaning not only do you miss out on the $20K, but then get nothing on the second chance either).

Not to knock what might happen sometime -- and the answer may be obvious -- but wondering what the reception will be if someone gets the right answer and less than $100 remains. At least they'd get something, I know ... .

In any case, $4,400-plus is still a nice chunk of change.

The moment someone wins like $51 is the day I will die from laughing. I could definitely see a sarcastic, over-the-top reaction from Carey, the audience, and the contestant.

To Josh or anyone who has been to a taping when they played Bonus Game or Shell Game with the updated rotating SP display:

Does the display rotate electronically or do the models manually rotate it? I seem to remember not seeing a model in the first few playings so I assume it is indeed motorized. If that is the case, what is the purpose of even having the model there in Bonus Game? I never see them actually modeling the SPs like they do in most of the other SP games. Obviously you need the model in Shell Game to hold up and flip the price tag.

From what I could tell, it’s electronic. Funny enough, the display is also on stage during the One Bid.

Interesting. When I played Bonus Game, with the older style display, it was wheeled out by two stagehands from between doors 1 & 2 while Rod was describing the bonus prize. A globe was the 4th SP and one of the stagehands stuck around to spin it as Rod described it.  8-)

Electrically. In fact, it's just the piano turntable with a partition and counters placed on it.

(Yes, I know I linked to a clip where the turntable isn't seen rotating, but we've all seen it rotate before, right?)

Anytime Bonus Game is won is a great part of the show.

Do you mean anytime Bonus Game is played perfectly? Just winning is a relief, but getting all four SPs is always awesome.

I'd be curious what other people thought, but there's no way I'm intentionally throwing a one bid even if I had five more chances left. Knowing me, I'd blow it all the other times and be kicking myself that I gave the first one away.

Plus, just the idea of being on stage would be enough for me and there's no guarantee I win the bigger prize anyway.

I strongly disagree. The video games the show was (somewhat loosely) based on have never done something like this, making it feel out of place for me, and I thought that it was very little more than a waste of time (I further note that in the above episode, any other game show would stop tape if intruders suddenly appeared like that).
