CBS curtains

Anyone know when they changed the colors of the CBS curtains from yellow to red?

Based on what we've seen on YouTube over the years, I think it's sometime in the spring of 1985.

Another question, when did they stop showing the CBS curtains on the sides of the audience, and instead extend the colored curtains (the ones covering the production booth) around the entire audience area?

Per the timeline, the multicolor curtains that surrounded the audience debuted on the May 17, 2002 primetime special that saluted the U.S. Navy. That change carried over to the daytime show at the start of Season 31.

1985 for sure, as Johnny O was still alive when they changed.
