Taping hiatus question
« on: April 24, 2018, 10:50:09 PM »
I know this might be a dumb question, but when the show goes on the 3 month taping hiatus like it is now, do they strike the current set down, or do they leave it up until the next seasons set it ready to go.

Considering Real Time with Bill Maher still needs the studio on Fridays, I'm sure they take it down.

They would never leave a set up for that long to not be used.
Generally, they strike the set whenever another production is scheduled or when the studio might be available for other projects.

Across the hall, the soap sets are struck and replaced at the end of the day with the sets that will be used for the following day's taping. If a set is being used for the next day, it's left up.
