Well Fernando just set a new bar in the "Poor Sport" division during the Showcase Showdown in my book. Beating out the "Go Over!" girl during the one Kid's Week.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the total of the grocery items used in Let "Em Roll might have been the highest combined total ever($37.93).  For the 2nd time in a row a contestant got down to 2 boxes in 1/2 Off but lost.  Fernando fainting when Lisa spun $1 was very similar to Alene fainting when she won the showcase in a 1977 episode.  Although some people try to use strategy when doing a bonus spin to avoid the wheel going past the bonus spaces I knew George wouldn't win any bonus money as he gave the wheel a very weak spin.

It's funny how the number 5 prevented a perfect show in two consecutive games, first being the winning box in 1/2 Off, and being the last missing digit for the car in Any Number. I sense a Historic Moment for this one.

I sense that a week from now we will forget that this even occurred.

I find it interesting that the possibility exists in 1/2 Off for contestants to (1) lose despite perfect pricing or (2) win despite not pricing anything correctly.

Poor sport ??   did he say something that I didn't pick up on?    If he just fell down in defeat, I see that as a hilarious acknowledgement that he just took a bad beat.

While it's bit funny initially, he really took the glamour out of Lisa hitting the $1.00. He spent a little too much time on the floor.  If he sprang up right after and congratulated her before departing it would have been better.  That's just my take anyway.

ESPN has an article about Lisa Beverley's appearance- of course they called the Showcase the "Showcase Showdown" though. www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/23392878/mother-la-clippers-guard-patrick-beverley-wins-41k-price-right
