Sure, “Stack the Deck” was a total disaster as usual, but I hope this luxury car idea becomes a regular thing for this game.

The lineups lately, and throwing in a decent luxury car in freakin’ Stack just to claim they aren’t being cheap when of course it had <1% chance of being won... all of this is an insult to LFATs. It really is, what a terrible stretch this month has been.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

It's official--Stack the Deck is so impossible to win, it's now getting the 3 Strikes treatment of being played for luxury cars. And as usual, it's lost. How much longer before the production staff finally decide to retire this game?

And what a dumb prize package in Secret X..

I actually thought the grocery products in Stack the Deck were fairly straight forward today. The Cadillac seemed winnable to me.

What I really don't get about Stack the Deck today is that there's no way that can look good to a casual viewer either. A lot of the complaining about setups and lineups is just stuff that we do as hardcore fans of the show who watch every day and notice the little things, and sometimes it can be a bit nitpicky. But something as bad as Stack today just needs to be called out. We already (rightly) fork people in Stack for normal cars whenever they take the first number free, because you need all the information you can get in this game. When you play Stack for a car where the first digit isn't even a certainty, you've ALREADY made it way harder. You don't need to do much else. You certainly don't need to add 3 very hard GPs and an ugly ending on top of everything. What the average viewer probably saw today was a contestant coming absolutely nowhere close to winning. And that's just no fun.

If you really must flaunt a luxury car in a non big 3 game, how about TTM or Gas, which at least feel like random guessing games that the contestant has a flying chance of getting right, yet still are very hard? Joe Plinko would not notice these as much, I promise you.

Also I don't even know what's going on with the lineups anymore, but this ending-the-show-with-2-quickies thing really didn't work in S37 and I have no idea why it's making a comeback now. It turns the entire show into an anticlimax. It makes especially little sense on a show like today where there were only 2 quickies to begin with. Why play your two WEAKEST games last? Makes no sense to me.

I definitely would’ve lost, because I got 1/3 grocery items, and I highballed the price of the car (said $54,000, then when the sign flipped to read $41,000, it hit me that it wasn’t THAT kind of luxury car).

Seeing Stack the Deck fourth was a bit of a shock to me, because I'm sure that when that Cadillac showed up, 3 Strikes would be played instead. But this is not 1998 anymore, so anything goes these days. I would've loved to see Let em Roll for luxury cars, and then at least Deanna would have a better shot at it.

Funny that both games with flipover reveals (Stack the Deck and Secret "X") were played in the same show, and back-to-back!

Wouldn’t that be a game conflict, as pointed out by the Dob?

Let 'Em Roll would never be played for luxury cars unless it's Dream Car Week and Mike Richards really wanted to blow the budget.

As for a Cadillac in Stack the Deck--it's likely they think they can get away with it because NOBODY wins this game (1-7 this season, 3-16 the last 2 years.), despite what Drew says. But here, it makes an already impossible game even more difficult. A car of this magnitude would make more sense in 3 Strikes--if it was $50K+ in value.

This game wasn't this hard when Roger ran the show.. but since Mike Richards came in, the game is frequently impossible.

The 9 in Lucky $even was mean but the price was otherwise not super tough. I was thinking lower for the 4th digit too though.

Make Your Move was easy- 647/23/5685 was the only combination that would've made some sense.

Well well, a luxury car in Stack the Deck. Of course they made the GPs really tough, the pasta sauce/cleaning stick was the only one that wasn't that much of a toss-up. Even with getting all three numbers and placing the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th digits though, the 5th digit still would've been difficult to choose between 6 and 9.

Very easy Do the Math and tough Freeze Frame to round things out.

It's official--Stack the Deck is so impossible to win, it's now getting the 3 Strikes treatment of being played for luxury cars. And as usual, it's lost. How much longer before the production staff finally decide to retire this game?
They don't retire games because of difficultly/lack of wins anymore.

Funny that both games with flipover reveals (Stack the Deck and Secret "X") were played in the same show, and back-to-back!
Having the Showcase Showdown inbetween did make it less noticable though.
