The shopping format was okay, but I prefer the winner's board as it gave contestants a more greater chance at winning more prizes.

Shopping gets my vote. It amplifies the risk vs. reward aspect of the game, especially with a stellar champion-can they win another game to get closer to winning the lot and the cash jackpot, or will they be dethroned by a great challenger?

The Winner's Board is okay. The real tension came when the champion was given the chance to put all the Winner's Board prizes on the line to win a $50,000 jackpot if they could win one more game. Other than that, it was pretty luck-based, and gradually clearing the board just didn't have the same effect on me as the progression of a champion in the shopping format.
