For what it’s worth, I underbid on Kara’s Showcase by only $786, but of course, I would’ve lost.

Was Sheri really hesitating to choose 9 for the thousands digit on the last pick of Any Number? That was a no-brainer.

I would’ve gone $9,260 on Peru as well on Double Prices.

I was afraid that the more expensive choice was the right one for Peru; also, those were some expensive GPs in Hi-Lo.

Good thing Noelle bailed out in Temptation, because that second number was a trap.

EVIL setup for Hi Lo. Double Prices was definitely setup for a loss. Great to see temptation back after a long absence.

I could not agree with you more, on all three accounts! That was quite an evil setup in Hi-Lo, I too was afraid that the trip to Peru was $13,000 +, and I too would've lost the same way that Noelle would've if she had gone for the car in Temptation.

That Hi-Lo setup had Dobkowitz written all over it. Ten years gone, but the haints still linger.....

Very difficult Hi Lo set-up, the popsicles were the only obvious product to avoid. Otherwise it could've been any of the other five.

Not sure why Sherri avoided picking the 9 for so long in Any Number after she already picked 7 and 8. She got really lucky to win the car honestly.

Tough Double Prices, both prices were definitely plausible but the $13,xxx choice seemed too expensive.

The 1 or 0 choice in Temptation for the 2nd digit was definitely mean, as was 7 or 8 for the 4th digit. I doubt that many people would've passed up on a guarenteed $4,499 though.

That HI/LO setup was tricky. They could of saved that setup for a Car playing.
This is also the 1st time since 3/6/2013 where 3 grocery items in HI/LO cost more than $10.00.

I was SO glad contestant James did not make it on stage. I was immediately annoyed by him from the moment his name was called. It really felt to me like he was acting and not being genuinely excited.

...those were some expensive GPs in Hi-Lo.
I agree with you there. I don't think I've ever seen such high prices overall in that game. Quite difficult indeed.

Refreshing: 1) Seeing someone win the auto in Any Number by getting the thousands digit last. And 2) hearing the gameplay described first in Range Game and then seeing the prize. That reminded me of the old days with Bonus Game and... Hi-Lo. :)

My thoughts on today's episode:

For one thing, Hi Lo was a tricky one. I was a bit hesitant between the stain remover and the  pain relief.

If Sherry had chosen the five in Any Number, I may very well have slit my throat (just kidding). But I liked when Sherry finally picked the nine and Drew said, "You can stop screaming at your TV set, folks" , because i guarantee you that's exactly what i was doing. Like, "Choose the nine already, you fool."

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Boy was HI-LO very EVIL with a capital E!!!   I would understand if that kind of a setup was used for a car.  But this kind of setup for a regular prize?  Poor Neil.  Not that I did any better, I would have picked the shrimp to be on the HI row.

Amazing that 5 of the 6 games played were very very old school pricing games (all that were featured during the first 2 seasons of the show).
