Say, when did One Away get that cool-looking redesign?

Cool redesign on One Away.
And when was the last time we saw a Chrysler 300 on the show?

Cliffhangers seemed tricky as sometimes lanterns they use cost more than others.  Also the ice cream maker they used today looked similar to other ones that were either $70 or $80.  Fortunately Miyoko managed to pull out a win.  Grand Game was set up for an easy win since the picks to avoid were obvious.  For Squeeze Play I had a feeling the 0 was the number to remove.  Most Expensive was also obvious.

For Squeeze Play I had a feeling the 0 was the number to remove.

Whenever the zero is in the middle in Squeeze Play, that is literally ALWAYS the number to remove.

Cliff Hangers was quite an easy playing. I said $15, $25, $35, which equates to 17 steps.

The headphones were a classic dead giveaway that Any Number was about to be played. I can't remember the last time I saw someone win a small prize in that game, although I'm sure it's happened more often than I think it has.

I immediately knew to avoid the IcyHot in Grand Game, but I wasn't so sure about the other item. Eventually I realized that it was the tea.

One Away looks pretty cool, but I think I'll have to get used to it. That new gradient really makes the lower half of the game pop out, as opposed to the old design. Right now, it seems kinda hard on my eyes, but I think it should be OK. THIS is the kind of set refreshing that I really like. It's still the same old One Away board (and it needs to be -- the trilons are half the fun of the game board), but now it has a little extra flare to it. (And the recap already has the new design! That's pretty quick!)

Most Expen$ive was a rather typical set of prizes and prices. Washers and dryers are almost always the way to go unless there's a rather large collection of handbags/other accessories.

The Chrysler 300 was a surprise in the Showcase. It's not every day that we see a car like that on the show.

June 22 ( the last time they played One Away ) is when the new paint job was visible for the 1st time.

How often these days is 20-30-40 not a winning strategy in Cliff Hangers?

I can only think of one time in the Drew era...

(Not to say that it isn't the only one, but it's the only one on the top of my head that I am aware of.)
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

Pretty easy Cliff Hangers, although I was thinking the ice cream maker might be a little more expensive than what it was.

Not sure why Amy went with the 0. It was quite unlikely to be in the car price. At least she won the headphones rather than the piggy bank.

One of the easiest Grand Game set-ups we'll see.

Not sure why Lavenia didn't remove the 0 in Squeeze Play.

Very nice win in One Away in what wasn't a super easy set-up. Like the addition of the red on the price reveal area.

Was it just me, or was I the only one kinda disappointed in this show's "theme", or almost lack thereof. I much preferred it when the July 4th episode was somehow military-related. Yes, I know they do other military-themed episode(s), but it seems like I remember July 4th also being in that vein. Outside of an occasional "red white and blue" note here and there, it seemed to me that this episode could have been just any other TPIR episode. I just wanted more, I guess.

At least they kept the tradition of playing "Stars and Stripes Forever" on the outro music.
