A lot more red on the board then I thought there'd be....Oh well. It can't always be perfect all the time.

Onto this week's game....It's Magic Number (or Magic #, if your hip!) For those uninitiated, the game works like this: Two prizes are shown. The first prize is the lower priced of the two prizes, the second is the higher priced of the two. What you must do is set a number that falls between the two prices (higher than Prize #1, lower than Prize #2). If you do this, you will be a winner!! You have until Friday, August 17 to submit a form. Good luck and all the best!! Link posted below:

...I'm upset that I'm the only one who moved the marker. Barker's Markers is literally the Monty Hall problem with 4 prizes instead of 3 doors.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

Though it is a bit different in this format, since in the actual game you'd know which two were left and could then choose to move (or not) by that.  Depending on your first picks, it might be easier or harder to choose.

For example here, if you first picked $1945, $2377 and $2869, you would have had $2377 and $2869 revealed to be correct.

That would leave you with $1945 marked, and $3893 as the other choice.  With those it would likely be easier to pick which was correct for the third item (since there is quite a difference in the two options).
