Oh come on, can we stop with the "Patriots cheated" bullshit? All it does is make you look like a bitter jackass.
No, it's you because you are blinded by their "domination". Patriots cheated. END OF STORY.

If you want proof, ask them. They cheated because they manipulated their games. Besides, Bill Bellichick and Tom Brady are ardent supporters of "you-know-who".

of course, you know they'll deny it (and please, stop with this "they cheated" talk, it's getting old)

this coming from a football watcher who only watches the LOCAL team (hint, not the patriots)

If the Patriots were cheating, they'd have won every game. If they were cheating, they wouldn't have looked suddenly human at several points during the regular season.

I hate the Pats as much as the next guy and am sick of seeing them win all the time, but the notion that they cheat is ridiculous. The notion that the NFL rigs games in their favor is even more ridiculous... if anything, Goddell comes down on them harder than others just because they're the Patriots.

The AFC Championship ultimately came down to shitty rules. If the Chiefs' defense hadn't looked like swiss cheese late in the game, it possibly wouldn't have gone to overtime, but the fact that they didn't get a chance to score in overtime is ridiculous. Adopt the college rules for overtime. Hell, I actually like the CFL's current overtime rules better. No game- especially a championship game- should come down to a coin flip.

So in short, the Patriots DID NOT CHEAT. End of story.

I hate college OT rules, because it changes too much of the game. No game clock to manage, and no kicking (other than a field goal attempt). The field position game is gone.

Perhaps the best answer to fix it might be somewhere in between the college and professional rules, wherein each team gets one guaranteed possession at the beginning of overtime, and if neither score or if the score's still tied after both drives, it them becomes traditional sudden death until the clock hits zero.

Then perhaps just play another fifteen-minute period, and the team that's ahead at the end of it wins?

Player’s association would never go for that.

How about just play defense with the current rules so the coin toss winner does not score a touchdown? That, or the guaranteed one possession as mentioned earlier.

Oh, then how come they cheat 27 times compared to the Rams' 15 times, huh?

The NFL says that if they replay the Rams-Saints game, it can lead to a costly Super Bowl delay (with the halftime show, broadcast, and other things) worth more than $100 million.

A costly Super Bowl delay would be better than sit here and enjoy nothing. Besides, the Patriots don't deserve another Super Bowl championship, anyway.

Perhaps the most realistic solution would be an official public apology, the immediate and permanent firing of the officials in question, and compensation to New Orleans in the form of, perhaps, additional draft picks this spring or a one time raising of their salary cap for the 2019 season.
