This is definitely the first time in Steve Harvey Feud history that a family has won in excess of $60,000. This may be the first time in syndication history  that a family has won $60,000 in five days.

EDIT: Apparently the Burgess family in 2016 won $61,455 over five days. This is now the second occurrence.

Karn Feud also had two families win over $60K and become 5-time undefeated champions as well: The Cole family (in Oct. 2002) and the Arevalo family (in Oct. 2004).

Out of curiosity, anyone know the record for the Dawson or Combs eras?

I remember someone in the Combs era winning over $40,000 this was during the hour long Challenge. I think they were the Dolphin Family. I have no idea why that stands out 25 years later.

The winningest family in the original Dawson era was the Rezzo family, who won $33,467 in 1985.

The Gaines family is currently top family in the Steve Harvey era of Family Feud.  Their last Fast Money was close!

I know they already did one Tournament of Champions in the Steve Harvey era.  With a surge of families retiring undefeated in recent seasons, they need to do another one.

If they did another TOC, I want the Burgess, Gaines to participate in it.

The Priestly family in the Combs era (they had not one, but TWO solo fast money wins, both of which are on YouTube) won over $43,000 in their five days.
