So, what was the configuration for $40K Punchy?
$40,000 - 1
$10,000 - 4
$5,000 - 20
$2,500 - 20
$1,000 -10
$500 - 5

At least, they didn't give it the Plinko treatment, like play it six times in a row (remember 2013?).

I was shocked that both car games were won in the manner that they were. In Lucky $even, when Aunjanna guessed the 9, I thought that she'd lose, only to find that she guessed it on the nose, and then in Line em Up, Danielle pulled out the win after having only one number right the first time.

Akeem almost pulled out the win in Check-Out, but his overshooting the first three GPs doomed him in the end.

What was up with having only Rachel and George helping out in Most Expen$ive and Punch-a-Bunch? It was very weird to have her hold the price tags for both #1 and #2 in the former game, and for him to model the SPs in the latter one.

Rachel was the only model present on today's show.

Tough Lucky $even with all of the numbers above 5, and it didn't look good after she guessed 3 for the 4th digit, but Aunjanna nailed it with the 9 for the last number! I figured they would do that.

The fridge was the one item that was least likely to be right in Most Expensive.

Nice to get some celebration of Punch a Bunch's 40th anniversary today. Playing it for $40,000 was excessive, but it did fit. $5,000 is a very nice haul. The Showcase fit nicely as well, although the TV with the home gym was a bit random.

Double Prices was a bit tough just because of the difference between the two prices wasn't that large, but $21,892 just seemed like it was too high.

Check Out was winnable. I didn't think the cat food would be quite as cheap as it was (I said $.99) and the bad guess for the Pop Tarts just did Akeem in.

Line em Up was a surprise win also, the set-up was pretty tough with the double 7s in the price.

Interesting that there were two prizes offered that were more expensive than both cars offered.

I found it odd she was the only model on today's show.
The other show that was taped on this day ( Monday's show ) had Manuela on it with Rachel.

I feel pretty safe saying this is the first time there's ever been only one Barker's Beauty for a whole show.  That was strange.

I've said it many times before, but it never gets old:  Nothing starts of a show quite like a Lucky $even win.

Nerdy fact:  Punch a Bunch's birthday is actually tomorrow.  Its debut was part of a string of shows that were all broadcast a day early due to the lack of a broadcast of the half-hour episode 2944D.

I feel bad that Grace only got to play Double Prices.  She seemed hilarious during what time she did spend onstage.

Akeem was not particularly good at Check-Out.

Great win on Lucky $even today! Looked like the "c" in "Lucky" was burned out though, no big deal.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Punch a Bunch and I share a birthday then :D

I guess Manuela had some reason she needed to leave after the first show.

Just watched this online and noticed that they censored the bottom of Jessica's shirt.  With some pausing in the few spots where they didn't blur it and going off of what little you could actually see, it appears to have said "ZERO F@#%$ GIVEN."  Now I know Stan doesn't look at people's shirts when he interviews them but I'm genuinely surprised they let that slip by.

The actual retail price is...

I couldn't understand how the contestant could throw back $5000 on that first slip. There was only a 5 out of 50 chance, 10%, that she could have punched a higher dollar amount than that. I think she got REAL lucky to have hit another $5000 on the last punch. If it was me, I would have been like Steve Miller and "Take the Money and Run".

I'm surprised they never showed video of the game's debut. I wonder if it's because the format was so different, or because there was no interesting way to show it without showing a past model?

It was a fun episode, with some tough games won in exciting ways, and just the right emphasis on the theme without it getting old or overwhelming.

Check Out with medical items is always tough though, their high price makes the rest of the pricing close to irrelevant, it feels.

Although in reality, it's a 19 out of 49 chance of doing at least as well (given 14 additional $5,000 slips).  Still a fairly low percentage (about 39%).
