For some goofy reason, everyone in America had their feed all screwed up through the end of item up for bid #2. Someone fell asleep at the master switch.

Well, that's the problem with special shows: they try to make the games too easy. In fact, if Cathy had picked 75 in Money Game, it would've been a perfect show.

I was hoping that 7 would be the winning box in 1/2 Off, and it was; also, those were some sexed-up prizes in Most Expen$ive. I thought that the refrigerator would be a trap, but thank goodness for the scooter being the right choice (it certainly looked the part too).

Great win by Suzanne in the Showcase.

I was shocked by how easy the Hi-Lo setup was! Push over hasn't been played for a car in a long time. Great win in the showcase!

Push over hasn't been played for a car in a long time.

Not as long as you think, the last time Pushover was played for a car was the Superfan show ( April 20 ) last season.

Wonder if CBS was contemplating a Special Report or something of that nature at the top of the hour? Having that much dead air isn't exactly good for ratings. The Canadian stations that simucasts the show actually started a backup talk show program in its place. Then the CBS New York card popped up on the screen, which is never a good sign of hoping to getting a problem fixed fast.

Meanwhile... damn near a Double Showcase. I had my fingers crossed that we might get one today, and for a second as Drew was reading the bid, I held my breath. Ah well...
"It's a SuperBall prize package worth $11,245!!

Fiat, from the Italian phrase, roughly translates to "Holy <BLEEP> that's expensive!"   :-)
