Favorite Daily Double design on Jeopardy!
« on: October 04, 2018, 06:01:22 PM »
There have been many daily double designs over the years on Jeopardy!, so my question is, does anyone here have a particular favorite design?

I cast my vote for either of two: the season 1 or season 22 graphics. I haven't quite mastered the attachments technique but I am happy to post a link where you can view them all:

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

I think Season 22 is the first one to jump out. I like them better with the blue.

In relation to Daily Doubles, I was watching the seniors tournament final from 1991 and in the Double jeopardy round, there was a Daily Double behind a $200 clue. Is this the only time one was found in the top row?

The first and last ones from the grid set.

The Celebrity Jeopardy! one from the same era.

Season 16

Season 19

And Season 24

There was one in the top row during Austin Rogers' run. This happens once a season, maybe a little less.

Probably Season 5's for its kitschy-but-detailed look. It' s not only old school, but quite detailed and varies if it's an audio or video Daily Double.
