A few more details from Randy West on his Facebook page a few minutes ago:

Bob Barker update...

Less than two months from his 95th birthday, Bob was taken to Cedars Sinai Hospital at approximately 1:00pm today. At present he is reported to be alert and resting more comfortably than he felt earlier.

Bob was hospitalized last week for a serious back injury. According to his spokesman William Prappas, Bob woke up this morning with a major flare-up in back pain from the previous injury, which prompted a call to paramedics.

The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at Barker's Hollywood Hills home and carried him out on a stretcher for transport to Cedars. Prappas explained the only reason an ambulance was called was because it would have been hard for Bob to get into a car with the injury, and assistance was needed.

And TMZ is blowing it way out of proportion.

I'm not terribly concerned if it's just back pain.

That celebrity train wreck show could overblow a fender bender.

According to Roger, Bob's okay. He has to wear a brace for the next 3 months.

Every time. We wonder if he's going to be okay, and he always gets back up.

He certainly knows how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Barker's a tough ol' cat. Speaking of cats, I think Barker has about 81 lives, not just 9!

Didn't Bob's Mother live a long time too?  Does anyone know how old she was when she passed (in 1993 I believe) away?

According to what I looked up, she died in 1989 and was born in 1897 or 1898, meaning she was about 91 or 92 years old.

Strange, because I seem to recall a video of an episode where she was in the audience sometime around 82 or so, and died before Bob went silver. I could be wrong, though, but I'll leave it to you guys to help me figure that out...
