No 10 Chances either, but I believe some of these eps are airing out of order.

Winning Pay The Rent combo:

1. Lotion ($9.99)
2. Cleaner ($7.99) + Soup ($0.35) = ($8.34)
3. Mints ($3.29) + Cups ($4.19) = ($7.48)
4. Cold Relief ($6.25)

So, 1 > 2+6 > 4+5 > 3 wins this one.

I thought that the cold relief would cost at least ten bucks.  Then I looked it up and realized that there's more demand for allergy medicine (which IS expensive) than cold medicine for people with high blood pressure.

Props to Mackenzie for trying to play Pay the Rent correctly, at least, but there was almost no way anyone would've won with the deceptively expensive cleaner.  :(

Nice win in card game.  When's the last time someone continued drawing after using the ace?

Do we always have to assume a game is retired when it isn’t seen just exactly when we think it should be seen?

Decent enough episode, I was really surprised when Sandra went on bidding past the Ace in Card Game, but she turned out to be right in the end, so good for her.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's Halloween-themed episode, although it will be tough to top last year's superhero-themed episode versus "the evil Dr. Trombone".

We don't know that for sure; we'll just have to keep watching out for it until the show says otherwise. We've seen a bunch of other games not get played for a long time and then come back (Pick-a-Pair, Check Game, Card Game, Barker's Bargain Bar-turned-Bargain Game, etc.).

Wow, that was one long, angry buzz in Pay the Rent! Hearing that play through the entire losing horns cue reminds me of the time Bob kicked Squeeze Play and made the price literally fall out of the prop.

What surprises me is how cheap that soup was!
It was Ramen instant, there's a reason it's so associated with college students ;-)

Finally for once a contestant plays Pay the Rent pretty well, unfortunately it was quite the difficult set-up. The soup was obviously the least expensive and the Tic Tacs and Solo cups were after the soup, but the cleaner, lotion, and medicine all could've gone either way. I had the medicine at the top too although I had a feeling the lotion would be more, but it also easily could've been cleaner more expensive than the lotion and the cleaner being more than the medicine was a surprise too. No way anyone would've put the medicine in the mailbox. I had cleaner > cups and Tic Tacs > lotion and soup > medicine, which would've meant a loss after the first level.

Cliff Hangers was actually somewhat difficult with the surprisingly expensive grater and water pitcher. Also a mean Line em Up with the 0 being right for the 4th number in the car.

Normally, we play this game at home and there are TWO winning combos.  I missed today's show.  Was there a second combo that would win it?
