Looking for 1980 Episode number
« on: November 20, 2018, 10:27:57 AM »
I was on the Price is Right around 1980. It was the last half-hour  night show with Bob Barker. I won 2 mopeds to get on stage, played the piggy bank game ( now any number game) won microwave stove oven, and lost in the showcase ( no wheel to spin at that time). My shirt said Bob's eyes make my blood rise. I'm hoping someone can give me the date and/or episode number so I can find and buy the tape.  I was hoping the last half-hour night show around 1980 will pin it down. Thanks for any help.

The latest nighttime show with Any Number in the lineup is 299N (taped March 12, 1980, the same day as the actual "last episode"), so that should be your show number. Lineup from that episode is Grocery Game/Any Number/Most Expensive, that sound about right to you?

blozier2006 You are awesome, that is it. On YouTube is episode 300 March 12,1980 and we are in the audience so that confirms it since they taped 2 shows that day. Of course I couldn't find my episode 299N. Do you know how I would go about finding or buying it. Thank you for your help I really appreciate it.

I took the suggestion to email archive@fremantle.com on November 20,2018. I included the Price is Right date, episode number  and that I was on that show and would like to purchase it. I never got a response. Does anyone know how long it takes for Fremantle to respond to emails or did I write anything wrong?

Brian

I will but I’m not sure how to do it. Fremantle send me an email with a link to download it. Of course I did and watched it but not sure how to do it on this site.

If the process is the same process that I recently went through in obtaining my episode, that link would only be good for the next month or so. If you would be so inclined in sharing that link with me privately, I can share the episode with everyone.

Hi Hoop,

Since you're continuing to interact in this thread, I have to ask - what happened from the 4 years when you sent your initial email to when your request was granted and you got the episode?

Flerbert419,

They never responded to my initial emails. April 2022 I emailed again and Fremantle responded immediately. They said they were so far behind with Covid but I was on file and it took this long. I sent the link to Thatgameshowguy . He was able to watch the episode and I’ll ask him to respond to this thread when he puts it on the site like her offered. Hope that answers your question.
