$ale of the Century 1983: Mort Kamins' Victories
« on: December 02, 2018, 12:05:25 AM »
Including tournaments, Mort Kamins is the all-time American network daytime game show winnings champion. In his appearances on $ale of the Century 35 years ago, he won $249,982, and no contestant on a US network daytime game show has topped that.

Mort recently uploaded to YouTube some of his appearances on $ale, including him winning the lot as champion, and his appearances on the inaugural Tournament of Champions. The tournament episodes are some of the best I've ever seen.

Mort wins the lot:

Fun fact: he was actually the very first to win the lot, and the only one to do so in the pre-cash jackpot era. In the earliest months of the show (including Mort's original run), "the lot" was all six prizes, plus however much cash it took to make the entire package exactly $95,000.
