Please stop playing $250k and $500k Plinko. No one ever hits the center slot.

Once again, Big Money Plinko tanks. And the sun goes up and down.

That Lucjy $even seemed to be a setup to lose with a 9 as the last digit.

I genuinely do not understand why anyone likes Plinko. I just don’t.

I really think the reason is that the most visible/prominent part has nothing to do with pricing, and instead looks like a common carnival game that people can relate to.

Most of the people that I know that don't like the show say it's because they don't really care about prices, and more broadly that they don't relate to numbers. Plinko has one of the flashiest intros, and once you get past the SP part, there aren't numbers anymore, just the "fun" part.

There's plenty of games that the "fun" or main part of the game has nothing to do with pricing which most fans do like (Punch a Bunch, Hole in One or Two, and Shell Game for example). Plinko is just considered overrated among most loyal fans of the show and it's always been overplayed. Playing it for an unnecessarily huge prize like today just makes matters worse because it turns the game into a total gimmick.

I was definitely expecting Triple Play today, although it could show up Monday for the family reunion show.

The Grinch himself must've set up Lucky $even today- that was just completely evil. Two 8s and a 9?

Drew must really dislike packaged apple cider and hot cocoa.

I think the reason almost everyone likes Plinko is because 1) it's pure luck, and 2) you are almost guaranteed to win something, unlike most games in the rotation in which you could get nothing.

How about making every slot except the center a 50k slot and see how that works?

Live for the present.  Embrace the future.  Our favorite game show is still producing excellent, high quality, exciting, hour-long* shows every weekday throughout its traditional season window.  It’s as good as it’s been in a long, long time.  If the 1980s were the ‘good ole days’ for the Barker era, so is RIGHT NOW for the Carey era.  Don’t worry about what the future holds.  It will play out in due time.  Enjoy what we have right in front of us in the meantime!

Hey, they should be able to afford 50k every once in a while to make us happy, right?

That Lucky $even seemed to be a setup to lose with a 9 as the last digit.
I also thought that setup was pretty harsh. Especially for a holiday show?

On the other hand, I thought Squeeze Play was setup for a win.

Insanity: doing the same exact thing over and over expecting different results.

Million Dollar Plinko is insanity.

Replace "million dollar" with "big money" and the point remains.
"Nobody cares about the guest stars." - Roger Dobkowitz

"Change isn't always good. Sometimes changing things is a terrible mistake." - Bob Barker

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

I am going to ask a question that may very well be blasphemous: Do you think the Plinko board is rigged to ensure a loss or is it just a ridiculously long streak of tough luck? I have my opinions but I'd just like to get yours.

No.

or is it just a ridiculously long streak of tough luck?

Yes. S&P issues aside, why would they make the game disappointing on purpose?
Quote from: Bill Todman
"The sign of a good game, is when you don't have to explain it every day. The key is not simplicity, but apparent simplicity. Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."
