I would've gone all the way in Hot Seat; that and the Gridlock! wipeout were the only two things that prevented a perfect show.

Was I the only one drooling over that Miata convertible in the Showcase? Me likey. Nice to see it actually won too. All in all it was just good to see so much stuff won, and then topped off with two really good Showcases, and all of it given to some men and women who really deserved them IMO.

I'm not a fan of white cars, but a Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring Convertible would be an epic car to own. If Jeopardy still had the 5 day rule, I'd be shocked if that wasn't an option.

Today was a breath of fresh air compared to yesterday.

I personally haven't seen a lot of "Gridlock," so my first impression today was that "wow this is a hard game. You can only be wrong once?" Then I realized that it's probably actually one of the easier car games. If you can price the 2nd group of digits, you have a 2/3 (66%) chance of winning the car, which is obviously a much better chance than some other games (i.e. Stack the Deck, which no one ever plays right, or Cover Up, where you have to be very careful with strategy in order to have a chance). But I digress.

Lucky $even was pretty easy. He got the first two numbers OK, so then 5/5/5 and he had it.

Hot Seat was the most painful bailout I've seen in a while. Ouch, did that one hurt. Otherwise this could've been a 5/6 show.

I garfed on the order of $20K plus on each Showcase. And I thought I was in danger of going over on SC2. Was I ever wrong. I seriously underpriced the car, but when I looked into it, the base Miata Grand Touring is $30K+ without any added options whatsoever.
Yes, I still use VHS. But I've switched to recording the show in HD with a capture card.

It turns out I've been missing a lot over the years.

I love how there's the "worst playing" of Bonkers despite being a win, and then one of the "best Lucky Seven playings" when the price almost ends in three 5's. For L7, I prefer the wins when the contestant must get the last number exactly right.

Can we please include the "(TPiR Season 47 First Responders Special)" in the title of this thread? IMO it would make it easier to find and would be in line with other special episodes done. Thank you.

Just got done watching this...I can't believe how few notes (none so far, in fact) I had to write in the timeline about set changes that were or weren't present in a show that both taped and aired so drastically out of order.

Easily the greatest thing on this show was seeing the police officer who gave Drew a ticket for running a stop sign play Danger Price.
