At that time, it was very rare to have 6 females play their pricing games back in 2001. It was more common back in the 70s and especially half-hour shows.

If I'm remembering correctly, there was only one male contestant called the entire first week of the show in 1972. That male contestant was Paul Levine, the first showcase winner.
