The Walking cue is used on this episode experiment wise, wouldn't be permanent until next month (by February 19). Not sure if it was used on surrounding episodes as these have yet to see the light of day. Also the split-screen is in use for the Showcase Showdown by this point (albeit in a narrow fashion), narrowing it down to between January 6 and 13.

That split-screen arrow is probably the coolest version of all, with a blue triangle scrolling from the left and across the gold wall until it met the wheel itself. Its appearance is similar to what we saw on the Game$how Marathon Episode in 2006, and also what is now done on Drew Carey's show.

When was the more familiar shot first used (the one with the stationary red arrow on a blacked-out left side)?

Per the Timeline, the normal shot was in place about two weeks after this (by January 28, 1976).

EDIT:
Just checked my own collection, and 1772D (Tuesday, January 20) has a stationary red arrow against the gold wall. 1774D (Thursday, January 22) has the normal shot (stationary red arrow against blacked-out left side).
