I would wonder too if Drew's shows would get a play. He's been on it for about 12 years now (which is crazy to think about lol), and they have already shown the current Match Game once, so it wouldn't be without precedent to run these too. I imagine be a lot less red tape to do it as well relatively when compared to Bob's run.
Sure, that would be great too, but let's get the Barker shows on first. And probably do the syndicated versions on weekends.

I would have no interest in seeing the CBS Drew Carey episodes (2007-present) or the NBC/ABC Bill Cullen episodes (1956-1965).

But, the rest, would definitely peak my interest. I'd love to see the 1972-2007 CBS Bob Barker shows, especially the 70s, 80s, and early 90s episodes. I would air them similar to how GSN did in 1996-1997.

Monday: 1976-1977 episodes
Tuesday: 1979-1980 episodes
Wednesday: 1982-1983 episodes
Thursday: 1986-1987 episodes
Friday: 1991-1992 episodes
Saturday: 1991-1992 episodes (different from Friday)

Then, I would do my best to air the syndicated, half hour, nighttime shows on Saturday and Sunday.

Dennis James (1972-1977)
Bob Barker (1977-1980)
Tom Kennedy (1985-1986)
Doug Davidson (1994-1995)

David Levine, who produced the BCI DVD, said Barker still has a ton of pull, and had to make sure every episode on the DVD was "Bob-approved".

If that's how it was in 2008, what will make things different in 2020?

I also wonder how were they able to show Holly, Dian, and Kathleen on GSN? Someone pointed out that Holly was nowhere to be seen in the 25th anniversary special. And it came out that the only reason they had a Dian episode on the DVD was because they all forgot about that.

Although a long-shot, it would be nice if Buzzr could get the rights to the Cullen, Barker and Carey versions and form a 120 minute block of TPIR. (150 minutes if the post-1975 tapes are used.) That would be something I'd love to see!

I understand it, but I almost wonder if getting Carey version on would be easier initially. Then could work backward possibly to the earlier ones.

Easier, maybe, but not necessarily a better choice. Look at what GSN is doing with the Harvey Feud--it's an overload. The allure of oldschool GSN for me was being able to see older versions of Feud alongside the modern one on the air (still Karn in those days). It let me enjoy them both in their own way without it getting stale. As it is, I'm surrounded on all sides by Harvey's Feud, and I've gotten to the point where I don't even really want to watch it anymore.

I think having the Carey version re-airing anywhere else, at least for now, would have the same effect. Viewers who miss Bob aren't really getting anything, and the overexposure risks turning off casual viewers who don't much care for Drew and some of the other changes since season 35 wrapped, but still enjoy the basic format enough to try it. (Speaking for myself: if I don't like season 47, but did enjoy season 35, I might've enjoyed the first half of season 36, but that's about it.)

On the other hand, if they start re-airing Bob's old shows, it'll give classic fans something they can enjoy, and as long as it doesn't air opposite the current show, it wouldn't take anything away from CBS.

(Put another way: folks who liked Bob but not Drew already aren't watching the regular show on CBS, and folks who got bored with Bob's show probably wouldn't tune into reruns of it but would stick with Drew's show. Either way, there's a constituency that's not getting served: classic fans. So if you air Bob's shows, you're giving classic fans what they want, without taking anything away from fans of the more modern incarnation.)

GSN in 1996-1997 also aired the 1976-1977 episodes on Saturday and Sunday mornings but were different from Monday's episodes.

Hopefully I would like to see the half hour episodes myself again (or at least the ones with no coats if the fur ban remains in place) and/or the hour long shows with whatever comes out of it. Of course they would have to digitize it to make it on the schedule if at all in the future.

Any closer and Bob gives it away.

I can't quite figure out what it's for. A return of a "Funtastic Fridays" of some sorts? March Madness?

I would think Classic Concentration is a better-known title than Body Language.

or maybe it's just a regular - and much needed - shakeup of the lineup

I'd love to see one particular board member on those weekend shows you mentioned (in a series of episodes), but again, you have to get past Bob.

...and at broadcast quality.

Donít get me wrong, some of the newer uploads of late have been of pretty stellar quality, but thereís a lot of hot garbage out there.  I love the nostalgia, but some uploads are just about too poor of quality to sit through.
