At least one of the winning solutions in “Pay the Rent”

Mailbox: Burgers (4.49)
First floor: Sponges + Stuffing (5.68)
Second floor: Baby Food + Relief (6.87)
Attic: Body Wash (8.49)

One of these days, someone will finally discover the strategy and NOT put the least expensive item in the mailbox.

I keep forgetting that the Coricidin HBP medicine is cheaper than most OTC drugs, and that the body wash (of course, since it's Olay) is pricey.

For this Rent playing, 3rd < 4th + 5th < 2nd + 6th < 1st wins again.

$6.25 has been its price most of the season.

Would I say that today was a bad day for us due to that Pay the Rent loss?

I think we are all right by saying people need to stop putting the cheapest item in the mailbox.  I think she should have stopped at $10k because no way was that medicine was going to be more than $12.98.  They have set this game up well where the contestant always put the cheapest thing in the mailbox.

The one good thing about this one is that Race Game was played exactly how Drew said to play it-- no dawdling, no looking at the audience; just get the tags up, run back and check, and quickly make changes per your results (Adam had two right, went back and changed the middle two, and got all four; that's exactly what I would have done).

I attended this taping (my third). Some quick notes:

1. I KNEW PTR was going to be played. No sooner did I take my seat and look up, and there was that 100,000 sign. Besides being in the rafters, it’s not really concealed at all.

2. Drew and George were more engaging with the audience then I’ve ever seen. Commercial breaks were awesome this go round! I swear the breaks were also longer than any other visit.

3. Devin is still learning. I watched Rachel point things out to him off camera multiple times.

4. Range Game was sitting in the center of the stage before the second one bid was presented. I noticed last visit that Side By Side was also just sitting out ready to go.

5. While he may seem charming on camera, Adam was incredibly annoying while waiting in line. He was very over-the-top, to the point where other people in line were all talking about how annoying he is. Good strategy, I guess? I just knew he would get picked.

5. Though none of them got called down, there was a group of men there for a bachelor party all wearing sparkling jackets in tribute to Rod Roddy. George loved them, and says he wants to wear a jacket like that in tribute some day.

6. All-in-all it was a very fun taping! Just a couple of quick pickup shots, nothing major or earth shattering.

Was Adam just hyper, or doing things like I have seen over the top contestants do, like rolling around on the floor, overly screaming?  You wonder though what is a good strategy to determine the best choice for being called to "Come On Down?"

Race Game was won in less than 20 seconds, player wasted no time and stayed focus.

With $100,000 as the top prize, Pay the Rent is a very hard pricing game to win.
