Also, they announced on Facebook that there will be new hosts starting from December. It appeared that former Vietnamese Wheel Of Fortune host Tuấn Tú is going to be one of the two new hosts of Vietnamese Price. The other host is confirmed female.

Nice--a simplistic look to go with a simplistic game. Works very well, except they should make the numbers just a bit bigger to reduce the whitespace. Thanks for posting that photo!

I don't hate the set since it's actually pretty nice, but to me it's just a little too plain and I agree with LiteBulb that the numbers should be bigger.

El Precio Justo keeps trucking along in Argentina, although there have been no new pricing games since the last one that was posted.

Episodes up to #275 are now on Youtube, so below is an updated tally of the pricing game frequency since the show premiered.  It's been interesting to observe that about a quarter of the last 50 or so episodes have had 7 games (and, in two cases, 8 games) played during the episode instead of the usual 6.

Two new games for Argentina since the previous post:  Suma Exacta and More Or Less.

Suma Exacta reuses the prop from the retired 10 Chances game that only lasted two playings.  The contestant has to select 5 grocery items, one at a time, out of 10 options to reach an exact designated total.  Have included 10 Chances below for comparison.




More Or Less (Mas o Menos) is played as a single prize quick game, with the contestant having to decide if the price is more or less than the incorrect price that is displayed.

The prize reads are literally the announcer saying the names of each item as they are displayed on the prop - no sizes or descriptions given - so it only takes about 7 seconds to roll through them.  This is the same for other games using grocery items. 

It is rather bemusing to watch the model pressing the 10 Chances buttons every time the contestant makes a choice, as if they have any function whatsoever in relation to the big screen (which they really don't seem to).

Yet another two new games for Argentina:  Par o Impar and Lizy Shopping.

In Par o Impar (translates to Even or Odd) the contestant must decide whether the 2nd digit is odd or even, and likewise for the 3rd digit.  If they get both correct, they win the prize.



In Lizy Shopping the contestant must match the six price tags with their corresponding prizes.  Once they do this, the contestant selects one prize at a time to reveal whether the price they gave it is correct.  If it is correct, they win that prize.  They can risk their winnings and continue to reveal prizes one at a time to win them all, or can bail with the prizes they've already won.


Also, for a few weeks now the show has been running a car promotion in each episode.  A couple of audience members have their number drawn at random from a barrel and can select one key from a board of 100 keys.   They take turns trying to start the car with their chosen key and if they do, they win the car (if not, they win nothing).

This soaks up a fair bit of time and has resulted in a couple of recent episodes only having 5 pricing games played in them, and even a lot of the recent episodes with 6 games have had 4 'quick' games in their lineups to fit the promotion in.

Another new game for Argentina this week: Precio Al Cubo.

This is just a much harder version of Line Em Up, which was retired from this series ages ago.  The only difference is that the middle three digits have four options each.  It's a shame it's so hard as the game looks great.

The new games keep coming for Argentina; this time it's Clock Game (Tempo Justo).

Pretty straightforward here, except that the announcer is the one that tells them higher or lower rather than the host.  The first playing (screens below) resulted in a last second win.  Only four pricing games were played in that episode rather than the standard six.

That clock is upside down compared to the US version. Does it count from 30 to 0 from the bottom to the top or does it count from 0 to 30 from top to bottom?

It still counts from the top to the bottom.

I completely forgot how the Vietnamese version have changed during the past 4 months, so here's what they have changed:
- New hosts (Former Wheel host Tuấn Tú and Hoàng Linh)
- There is a safe in the announcer's seat. When a contestant win money, the announcer will open the safe and give the money to the contestant.
- They probably retired Golden Road.
- Kirby music can be heard during the show (not the price cue though).
- Some pricing game have some small design changes.
