Teddy, I'm sorry to say that you're wrong, that if the Nats win the NLCS, they'll kill two birds with one stone. If they win the NLCS, it is by no means guaranteed that they'll win the World Series. They could win the pennant, but lose the World Series. Thus if that happens, they'll only break one drought, but not the other one.
I need to clarify that the two droughts that would be broken would be the pennant-less one, dating back to the 1933 Senators, and the current team's own. As of 2018, they are the only one of the 1969 expansion teams to have never made it to the Fall Classic (Padres made it in 1984 and 1998, Brewers in 1982, and Royals in 1980, 1985, 2014 and 2015, with wins denoted in bold).

After scoring ten runs in the first inning of their DS clincher, the Cardinals cough up seven in the first inning to Washington and are on the verge of elimination.

Congratulations to the Washington Nationals on winning their 1st ever National League Pennant. Amazingly, the Nationals were 1ce 19-31 and are now National League Champions.

We see 1ce again that in the postseason: pitching>>>>>>>>>>hitting.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

I'm so glad that the Nationals are going to the World Series!

Which leaves the Mariners as the last remaining team to have never won a pennant.

As a D.C. sports fan, let’s complete the trifecta — Capitals (2018), Mystics (2019), and Nationals (2019).

Washington is the seventh team in history to sweep a four-game series without ever trailing. They truly earned the berth to the World Series. Whoever wins the ALCS will have their work cut out for them.

Dave Roberts will return as Dodgers manager.

He should be manager of the year for leading the Nationals to the World Series.

Dave Roberts is NOT the Manager of the Nationals. He is the Manager of the Dodgers.

Methinks you missed the joke.

Methinks you missed the joke.

I got it totally. If it weren't for Roberts' colossal blunders against Washington, the Dodgers might've won their third straight pennant by now.

Such excitement in Yankee Stadium. Tanaka was never the ace people make him out to be and now his replacement just gave up a three-run bomb.
