Last no-hitter in the entire state of California was on July 13, 1991, Tyler Skaggs' "birth" date.

Mike Trout's HR was 454 feet, 45 forwards and backwards.

Skaggs wore #11 in high school.  It was the Angels' 11th no-hitter.

Angels scored 7 runs in the first, 13 total. 7/13, his birthday.

The Baltimore Orioles elimination number now stands at seven, just three more than at this same point last year with six weeks to go in the season. Unfortunately, this will be their last year where they can undergo a "fall training" as next season, the September callups will be limited to two instead of fifteen. Also, they're losing the "race for the bottom" to the Tigers, even though they've gained ground. This all translates to an even bleaker future for the club, where Camden Yards has not only a record low attendance, but the lowest outside of the two Florida clubs.

Well, a quick check of the current MLB standings reveals that Detroit is the first to 100 losses, with Baltimore just two away. Also, the Tigers have three fewer wins (43) than the O's (46).

The Royals, Blue Jays, Mariners, Marlins and Rockies are also facing the possibility of losing 100 games, although Colorado would need a total collapse to get there, and to the best of my knowledge, they're the only team that has never hit the century mark in the loss column.

Not quite. They each have magic numbers of seven to get in and neither made ground last night on the Indians, the team they have to eliminate to clinch. Same story with their division rivals Tampa Bay and Oakland, respectively. The Astros' magic number to win the AL West is eight and the Yankees' magic number for the AL East is nine.

Atlanta's magic number is eight as well. Braves P Chris Martin threw a perfect seventh inning vs. Philly last night. Nine pitches, nine strikes.

Houston clinched a playoff spot last night when they beat Texas.

The Yankees can clinch the AL East tonight if they beat the Angels, though they can still clinch a playoff berth if Cleveland loses to Detroit.

Atlanta's magic number is now at 1. They'll have to wait till tomorrow to try and clinch the East as Washington is off today.

Yankees are officially in the postseason with an AL East title after defeating the Angels 9-1, not only that they also crack the 100 win mark.

The Yankees and Astros have 101 wins each, and the Dodgers could win their 100th game if they beat the Rockies tonight or tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Orioles (104), Tigers (109) and Marlins (101) have hit triple-digits in the loss column, with the Royals one defeat away from joining that dreaded group. Thankfully, they already beat the Twins today, so that humiliating defeat will have to wait another day.

Braves' 1B Freddie Freeman will sit out the Kansas City series tomorrow and Wednesday to have a tender elbow mend. He'll be back in the season finale series at the Mets.
