Gotta love a $20,000 win on Hot Seat. And the wins on Cover Up and Any Number were nice too.

The $0.15 loss on Grocery Game was a bit depressing though.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Bernard killed it in Hot Seat, but I wouldn't have gotten that egg cooker right. The wins in Any Number and Cover Up were, of course, incredible! And I felt bad for Tyrone when he lost by a slim margin in Grocery Game. But, hey, at least he won his showcase in the end! So, all's well that ends well really does come full circle!

Yes, because people know a can of cat food is 60 cents and will just outright say 36 of them..... I mean come on, the 2 choice was bad, but no one is going 36.

Tyrone probably wishes he did start with those five cheeses, but he really redeemed himself in the Showcase!

Probably the opposite that Mike Richards would want. Everything they'd want lost was won, and everything they'd want won was lost. We took the cars and cash and left the "middle" prizes.  :P

I might have gone 25, perhaps 30 multiples on the cat food if I knew the price was in the 50-60 cent range. Then again, I probably would have thought it was $1.99 myself. Shows what I know.

I just wonder, though: Back in the day, when Dentyne chewing gum was 15 cents (or 25 cents) apiece, how many people figured it out and went right for the kill? That's when you could by 46 packs of gum (at 15 cents each) to get $6.90 and an easy Grocery Game win. IIRC, through watching old shows, there were a number of other products that sold for less than 25 cents and were readily obvious to good shoppers. (Not every shopper, of course ... but good shoppers.)

Great Cover Up playing, I was quite surprised the lesser expensive choice was correct in Double Prices.

What a win in Hot Seat! I thought for sure he was wrong with the egg cooker being lower than $19.

Tough choice in Do the Math, I didn't think the computer and monitor would be as expensive as it was.

Definitely happy for Melayna that she won, she was a lot of fun. I figured the 2 would be in the piggy bank, but it was a really difficult choice between 7 and 8.

Not to mention, isn't the cash register only able to put in at most something like 20 of an item? Starting with 2 cat foods was a really bad choice, but he still nearly managed to win.

The model just enters the total value of however many items were requested, not a price and quantity.
Although the cheat sheet the model has next to the register only lists up to 20, there's no rule that you can't pick 21+ of an item, somebody offstage would just have to add it up and let them know what to punch into the register.

Oh right, 20 is just the highest the sheet goes up to not the machine itself. Still, I doubt anyone would've thought to try to win the game using only the cat food.

Or they could enter it in multiple entries (like for the suggested 36, enter the amount listed for 20, then the amount listed for 16) and total it up, just as they already do after the second, third etc. item?
